ESL-Where Being Unique is Appreciated
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” –Nelson Mandela
Hello!
My name is Adrienne Murphy and I am an ESL teacher at Idlewild Elementary. This is my fourth year at Idlewild and it seems as if every year I find more things to love about my job! I love working with such a unique group of students.
I am a native Charlottean and graduated from Vance High School. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2007 and recently completed my Masters in ESL from American College of Education in 2013. This year, I get the honor of working with the second and fourth grade students in a small group setting.
I am a wife and mother who loves to read novels, shop, spend time with my family and take long relaxing vacations.
There is so much I am looking forward to this year! We have implemented new strategies for learning this school year and I am seeing positive growth in all my students! My job this year is to challenge your child and to help them grow into a successful contributing member of society.
